# Hindsight Sets a New Standard: #1 on the BEAM Benchmark

Email is a critical information source for research, compliance, and agentic workflows. With our new Gmail connector, you can now ingest and structure email data just like any other document source — making it available for retrieval, reasoning, and automation.

## Supported Filters and Configuration

The Gmail connector uses OAuth authentication. Once configured, you can filter email ingestion by:

- Sender and recipient addresses
- Subject keywords
- Gmail labels (e.g., `CATEGORY_PROMOTIONS`, `CATEGORY_SOCIAL`)
- Message categories: Inbox, Sent, Unread, Starred, Archived
- Date ranges
- Whether to include attachments

## Using Gmail as a Source

To set up the connector:

1. Go to Source Connectors in your Vectorize workspace.
2. Select Gmail from the connector catalog.
3. Authorize with your Google account.
4. Apply filtering options as needed.
5. Use the connector as a source in any pipeline.

Once configured, Vectorize handles ingestion, chunking, and indexing, making email content available for search, retrieval, or structured reasoning workflows.
